  19. The word originated with Icon.  The associated idea grew out of talks
  20. between Ralph and me but has roots in several places, with the two
  21. most prominent ones being the general concept of coroutines (several
  22. languages) and a feature found in the pattern matching language that
  23. is embedded in SNOBOL4.
